The first, and last time I will ever attempt a pano this big at night. A total
of 7 hours shooting, 42 spent rendering and 18 editing, its finally done!

So here we are, back in the UK. With nothing on the cards for Europe its time to catch up on the backlog, starting with the London Olympic Stadium ..

Vienna, for us this was
the end of the line. Our trip through Europe now within sight of the finish line. And with it one last problem. Where to sleep?
..

We sat at the metro stop, totally exhausted from the night’s activities and a day of being lame tourists. I felt like spreading out a nearby paper and going to sleep right there, but we had one more goal to achieve, the Williamsburg bridge.

We had been told we needed to get the F train and that should drop us off somewhere within walking distance of the bridge. So sure enough the train came with a big ass F on the front so we got on. Looking at the map we needed to go seven stops, so bags firmly gripped we sat down opposite a train sleeping hobo. First few stations went by, all seemed fine. Then the train started stopping at stations not on the F route, Chambers, Franklin and Canal Street. What the hell they aren’t anywhere in the area let alone the F line. We jumped off at Houston Street and tried to find out where we were, but could we find any maps in the station? No! The only map was cruelly placed outside the turnstiles so we had to leave the station just to work out where to go. Yea thanks that’s really helpful.

Sigh, somehow the F train had managed to magic itself across to the other side of Manhattan onto the C line. We had no money left, our tickets had just become void getting to a map and now we stood on the wrong damn side of the island. With the night time safety net slowly coming to a close we had one option left. Run like Duracell bunnies on steroids.

We stomped along the deserted streets of Manhattan, pausing only to catch our breath. Looking back it was actually incredibly fun. Exercise fun? Lies, but due to the mishap we had managed to see a bit more of New York. That and I remembered half of the roads from Grand theft auto IV. We had been up for so long now that we were just running on the little amount of adrenaline our bodies would offer us. 15 minutes later, out of breath and hearts about to explode we began the walk up to the bridge.

Skip forward another 15 minutes, Witek had bailed due to fears of going splat on the road and was keeping lookout. So I headed up with haste to just get a glimpse of the top. The view was spectacular, panoramic views with a crystal clear sky. Excuse the really bad phrase but, WIN! Time was not my friend, I had about ten minutes before I was told it would be best to bail, so I took some shots bid the bridge a blessed farewell and headed back down.

I would liked to have spent more time in New York, but alas Canada was calling and we had a score to settle with it.
