If you explore in London, as far as high rise towers are concerned there is but one target on everyone's mind, The Shard of Glass. A new 72 floor colossus whose core currently dominates the skyline. Sadly, like undercooked chicken, the shard is not yet ready. Sure you could eat it now, but the taste wouldn't be great and it would likely be hazardous to your health. So for now we look for alternatives, small appetisers to satisfy our hunger before the main course.
Designed by Sir Richard Seifert and completed in 1972, Kings Reach sits at 111 meters (364ft) tall just off the south bank of central London. Kings Reach was eventually vacated after its main occupant IPC media left in 2007, the building now scheduled to be raised and re-cladded in the most horrific display of colours i have ever seen.
Although London has offered higher ascents, great challenges and better views, they all had drawbacks. Kings Reach however is unique, as far as i can see it is almost perfect. The unobstructed 360* views, incredibly easy access, almost no security and a functioning lift taking you to the top. This is as close to a ''free ride'' as your going to get.
Now usually id go one or twice and take your average, here is X,Y,Z pictures, but for a change i thought it would interesting to try something different. So after 7 hours shooting, 42 hours rendering and 18 hours editing here you go, never again.
