Optimus Prime was first discovered by Userscott and Stepping lightly whilst on there quest for Manchester’s underground crypts and chamber, but surprisingly enough they never really thought twice about the monster tunnel we stood in. It was always just a means to an end.
Described as “The one internationally recognised Scottish landmark”. At 2.5 km in length, with three 340 ft cantilever structures, several mammoth spans and foundations constructed under compressed air the Forth bridge is not to be taken lightly. At its peak, approximately 4,600 workers were employed in its construction and by the time the Prince of Wales hammered the final rivet in on the 4th march 1890 almost 100 workers had died and over 500 had been injured.
For a while now Manchester has been a dormant draining city. The initial explores seemed to satisfy all those who traveled there. The likes of Gorton Falls, Works and Processor were enough to deter any wayward worrier for exploring off the beaten track, and so it slept.
Its been a rather long time coming. Ive sat at my computer trawling through report after report of people visiting the Arches. Saying to myself, right I’m going this week. Well fast forward to today and a good seven months had passed.
Another visit back to Longbridge. Its been a year since the last longbridge visit and it seems the interest has all but died, I preferred it this way as its given the site time to cool down, So we decided now was the time to have another look. Since last time we visited we had a good look around the topside sections we aimed our eyes on the underground parts, or more practically the “shadow factory” tunnels with lay beneath the buildings. |
