We started heading towards Crystal Phallus, but the problem was we didn’t know exactly how far it was. So as the ever small tunnel approached, we were disappointed when it emerged again. We had been underground for a while now and i was starting to feel hungry so a quick break was in order.

After stocking up on some drinks and some dirty Mc’donalds we headed down to our next destination. A small and uneventful tunnel known as Mistaken Identity. Although it was a nice brick tunnel with a vaulted ceiling id seen hundreds like it before so didn’t even feel like getting the camera out. 10 minutes later the tunnel resurfaced. It was surprising just how deep the channel was almost 3-4 meters so getting in and out would be impossible without a ladder.

Another good night of drains all around. I have been wanting to get to Birmingham for a while now but kept being sidetracked. Well this weekend i put my foot down i was going no matter what!. Unfortunately the usual suspects were busy so it looked like i was going it alone. Luckily got a message from Bubblehead who was game. We were charging the lasers and were ready to go, off to the Megabus!

Aka the ”Secret Chambers”, a joke you were either a part of, or a victim to. We accidentally found this site whilst looking for something else. Luck, what a crazy mistress she is. I met up with Dsankt and we headed in and down the ladder towards the lift. We came into a series of wooden walkways leading to a large cold door marked 5.

Our final trip on the Manc-fester trip, we had a quick scurry to our entrance and decided it was worth a look so we kitted up, bought a few rations from a local store and headed on down. Now which way to go?

We came to a small grill which we had to limbo under to get into the pipe. It started off as a concrete pipe before opening into a small chamber and splitting into two oval brick pipes. We headed down the left side and after a bit of walking they converged into one with a side pipe leading into a large concrete chamber with two levels and a slide underneath. We took several photos and had a little break to try and digest some more of the curry before heading back down into the main pipe.
