A revisit to the monster of Sussex. Colossus of the South, Brighton's biggest and certainly one of, if not the best system in the south of England.   .....

Finally some sewerfresh. I was beginning to think the Canadian people didn't need to poop. Oh well, onwards to the next steaming manhole.   .....

This was it, the time was finally upon us. Five years of waiting and finding funds to get to Canada had paid off. Lets begin shall we? Rankine.   .....

Coming from the mecca of brick that is London, Stockholm was a bit of a shock. Out of the entire network something like 0.2% is brick. Now this may sound a bit disappointing, in a way it was, but Stockholm had its own charm in the form of rock blasted tunnels! However, have fun finding them!. Due to certain legislation passed by the government, none of the drains are not allowed to discharge into the river under any circumstance, which means no outfalls! At all.

We visited a few drains, but the highlight was trip to a storm network on the outskirts of town. Now this place was huge, monstrous even. Constructed in the 1960's, the main tunnel alone is 18km long, several meters high and eventually requires a boat if you even want to attempt going downstream. However it just didn't feel right. The lack of recognisable building material confused me. It felt like i was in a cave, except with a faint tint of sewerfresh to carry me through. Either way we ventured forth, attempting to see what we could in the limited time available.
