This just in!. The all new "Pop'n'Drop" method. Your only way to explore trunk sewers and interceptors. Comes in a wide variety of colours.   .....

The westbourne never fails to impress. Actually that's not entirely true, it never fails to confuse the Sh** out of me. Double decker sewers? WTF!   .....

The day was not going well. Every lead we had turned out to be 1ft tall, and those that looked good, we couldn't get in. Sigh, Crypt anyone?   .....

"Serpent's Lair", a massive surprise as i wasnt expecting to find anything on such a large scale, My original intention was to go back and finish photographing Labyrinth and possibly do a few bits and bobs down there. I somehow got sidetracked by contant hmmm whats the sound down there, and also taunted by a rat and found this!.

After arrving in london around 10am, i snacked up, got some duck tape and a drink as i wanted to be down for the long haul, not having to come up for any reason. I headed over to the access point and down i went. A Familiar wift of moist air was a nice welcome. Sadly my passageway into the Labyrinth was foiled by two rats who seemed reluctant to give way and as you had to midget walk the tunnel there was no way in hell i was bending over near them.

Oh well, i decided to head in the opposite direction, down a boring rcp tunnel with no features whatsoever. After ten mintues of walking the level of the water is almost over my wellies, Ducktape time!. Two rolls per leg should do the trick and it did, but i wrapped it to tightly so my mobiity was now down to around 20 percent. Boooo.

I continued on for a while and finally came to a small junction. Although it wasnt too interesting i took a quick shot and walked on to find a mini chamber with two ladder leading up to a small infall pipe from the Thames half way up. Continuing down the pipe after another little walk brought me to a larger junction with two sets of steps and a triangle of off-shoots here and there, but what was more interesting for me was the sound i could here round the bend, I walked down the tunnel and nearly had a heart attack when i saw what was at the end. I am useless at describing featyres so ill let the pics do the talking!.

After an hour or so photographing and climbing several ladders in the main chamber i headed back to the Back to the stairs chamber and continued up the northern tunnel when, slip, "crap", "dammit", "ahhh", "smash". I go sliding over sideways and as i was carrying my camera my stupid instincts of hands to the floor buried it into the wall. I looked with horror as i saw three massive cracks across the front of the lense. Noooooo!. Luckily after a bit of a panic i realised it was only the filter on the front which was damaged and the lense was fine. After packing awat the camera, just to be sure i continued nortj fpr a bit before reaching yet another large chamber connecting into a large barrel shaped room. Now where do i go? four to choose so i take the north eastern tunnel.

A lot more walking insued and yet again i go over this time just getting wet. The lack of grip was getting irritating now. I passed what looked like hanging gardens of tissue paper and came to another junction. As i was setting up my camera i tried to go round it to get out of the shot.....

STUPID IDEA!!!!!!!!

Over i go, camera in hand, smash my hands against the wall, camera is submerged, hands in sereous pain. It just wasnt my day. I waited it out for a while to see how the camera had faired, Well the screen was stuffed, flickering on and off so i decided to call it a day. No camera for a while . oh well totally worth it
