Discovered this one with Alias from GP.

We arrived around 9ish after i got completly lost and ended up god knows where. Went to our manhole pulled up our waders and went down.

At the bottom of the ladder was a small passage which led into the Effra Swr. The first section of the Effra was a yellow brick pipe roughly 7ft wide. We could hear a loud rumbling in the distance so we went toward that. We passed over a wierd drop shaft which led up to another relief but we were not able to get into due to the ladder being removed.

We continued down the sewer and after a bit of walking and a large junction we found our drop down into Rubix. A large barrier wall juction holding back the Effra from falling into Rubix. Down we went into the relief and headed north. The brickwork changed from yellow to red to black to red again. Madness. After an hour of walking and admiring the features we came to another section where the pipe opened up almost 4 times its original size into a mega pipe!!!! must have been at least 18ft+. A bit further up to the right was a massive gravity flap in a large barrier wall ith with ladders going up and over. Behind the flap was yet another mega pipe but it almost looked unfinished as the slabs on concrete were still exposed.

We had to limit ourself to stopping here as we had a time limit and not photographed anything yet!, so cameras out and we begin snapping away and heading back to the entrance.

TRIP 2

Our main aim of this trip was to try going down the Effra line, as we had heard stories of a massive chambers. So off we went down our entrance and to the Rubix/Effra crossover junction. The only problem with this is the Effra is at that point connected with two other fast flowing relief making it a real pain in the ass to move almost taking you over.

We sat and pondered for a bit and decided against it although it is do-able walking back upstream would probably take ten times longer with alot more chance of falling in. .

So down into Rubix we went. After a bit of walking we passed all the usual sights, Stairs, main junctions and relief barriers and got to where we turned back last time.

Elvis pointed his torch to the ceiling and said look at that. I looked up to see a massive bore-hole probably 6 meters wide and 20 meters deep above. HOW THE HELL DID WE MISS THAT!!!. If you imagine Westminster tube station it looked like the tunnels there but vertical!.

On we went the tunnel started taking a steep aim downwards as we got deeper and deeper underground, after ten minutes of walking it leveled out we had a look at a exit point and we were now stttuuuppiiddllyy far down. This area was full of silted stuff, cutlery, jewelery, phones, money and tools.

After a few minutes of walking we heard a rumbling in the distance. closer and closer and it got louder and louder. Till eventually we were greeted by a mammoth twin chamber waterfall!. This thing was so big even the mighty power of the 10-20 couldnt fit it all in.

you can just make the top where the white border is. off to the left is a long large set of stairs which take you into another large barrel chamber similar to the storage tank at Westbourne with another three reliefs connecting into it.

Sadly no time to explore them as we were tired and had to get back. Oh well another time i guess.

TRIP 3

Woke up damn early and drove up to London to meet speed. Roughly 9 o'clock. Made a quick pit stop at the local shoppy for some food and the super size lucosade and down we went we took it easy as speed hadnt got his draining legs just yet.

Our plan was to see all the main attractions and checkout some unexplored pipes. And photo it on the way back.

We passed the stairs and a few junctions up to the flap. Up and over we went to the unexplored pipe

Each slab has a number in this pipe starting from 3200 a looonnggg ass walk awaited us with each feature we passed unreachable due to being in a relief and not supposed to be able to get back up. A bit further on and the pipe opened up and the water was channeled down the middle opening into a large pipe chamber with two ladders up to the top.

We took some pics then headed back down towards the main pipe when we found a side exert we didn't see before looked in and there was a round pit roughly a meter and a half in diameter. with a long drop of no return into what was probably the low level.

Anyway we continued down to the falls taking a photo of the bore hole on the way when the ground started to silt. We took our time and had a good looksie and found some interesting things such as old pottery, an old copper badge and HM Prison cutlery.

A bit further on and we was there. We had started to set up when we heard a loud rushing like a gate opening?. Hmm odd nothing happened so we continued until the falls just pissed down crap loads of water! it was crazy the ammount that was coming down i managed to get a photo off without the camera getting wet then we set of back to the entrance and headed out just had time to check another little pipe .

Popped up and checked the phone..... it was 5:30!. crap we had been down there over 8 and a half hours!. Time does fly when your having fun.
