An impenetrable fortress, one with no time for the doubters and naysayers. Protected by many hotels, embassies and the rich.
It wasn't going to be easy

The first, and last time I will ever attempt a pano this big at night. A total
of 7 hours shooting, 42 spent rendering and 18 editing, its finally done!

So here we are, back in the UK. With nothing on the cards for Europe its time to catch up on the backlog, starting with the London Olympic Stadium ..

Located in London near to the blackwall tunnel, these are actually on a working site but as trade with the Thames has slowed and almost stopped they had no need for these massive dock structures and were thus cut off from the main site, literally.

Climbed for the first time with Tank and then again later in the year with Snappel. RIP Tank's then white shoes. :)

The climb itself is scary. As I dont really do high things climbing up a external ladder all the way to the top with the crossover platforms all but rusted away. was daunting to say the least. The climb had two stages first was up into the rooms midway up then on to the peak for the views.

We were nearly seen by a police boat while climbing but thankfully they didnt bat an eyelid.

The views from the top were brilliant offering unspoilt views of the business district and of the millenium dome as well as the rest of london. We took lots of photos including a group shot then headed back down to the firm safeness of the ground.
