Another just missed for us. After seeing the pictures on the sub urban site i was eager to go. Midway through conversion the only good bit for us was the mary poppins style roofs.

Visited with Robsey and Indy way back when.

Access was a slight problem to begin with due the the site being covered by cameras but we soon worked out a easy way around them. Swaylands was a boys boarding school but was recently closed down and sold to a housing developer. Surprise surprise.

The inside was very dissapointing. It looked like a new build. No original features remained walls and floors had been knocked down and the new one were being put up. It was very uninspiring. We headed up to the roofs to take a few shots.

I was very impressed with the roofs and you could climb up and over them and go up and down the many small towers and gantries which littered the site. Very cool. While up there we saw security walk beneath up. Uhoh we literally had nowhere to go and if he looked up we were done for!. We waited as he walked down and into the building few. About to move when he came out again and walked back to his hut. At this point we decided to make a move and headed back to the car.

Shame could have been good but a little too late.
