N.G.T.E Pyestock. Located in Fleet we visited this site loads of times and it was soo big you needed too. The following is the visit with myself Just Ben, Ali23 and Nik24. Since then the site has gone to hells its been smashed, burned and ruined by spraypaint.
We headed over on sunday and after a quick stock up on food we began the long walk to the site. And before long we were in. We entered into a large compound of maze tunnels and huge buildings. It was looking up. We headed for the nearest building to us which held a large turbine and a small control room in the top corner. While the others were taking photos i headed up onto the roof for some spectacular views of the site. Back down and we continued on to the next building. Inside yet another even bigger turbine. With loads of hazzard and bio signs everywhere it turns out that it was used as a set on the film "sahara" go check it out on youtube and you can see the parts im taking about.
From here we moved on to the next building which didnt really have anything amazing just a workshop with a few bits and bobs. So we went over to the powerstation. Sadly most of the machinery had been stripped from here and it looked just like the others. next building was a fire station for the site and inside we found something pretty cool. A model airplane!.
We were amazed to see this and we took lots of photos of us sitting in it before heading off. (this place is now burned and destroyed by chavs). Just outside we found a small shack which contained a small childrens area complete with props and toys. Being a child i donned the kings costume and wore it the rest of the trip. :).
Next stop the main plant building. This had the biggest control room of the site and was home to the explorer signing board. The building also had a large heavy load crane which we climbed as it gave us better views of the machines.
What can i say before it gets all a bit samey?. There were lots of other buildings and all were pretty much the same, a bit of machinery and a control room. Which was great to go and see but not a lot of fun typing about :).
If you want to go then id go now as tescos are planning on buying it and making it a foods depot. |
