We were a bit too late on this one, had the potential to be great! but was midway through conversion.
Located in the small town of mayfield we visited here with Snappel. We parked up outside as there was nowhere else to park being on some tiny country lane. We were unsure if there was any security so we kept a low profile as we entered the site.
Once in and over the hoarding we headed up to the roof and the minature tower. The place was full of pigeons and we had to bat them out of the way so we could lift open the hatch. The views from the top were beautiful and whoever was going to buy a house from here would be making a good choice. After a few photos we headed back down and along to the chapel at the other end of the building.
Each level was almost completly stripped with nothing of value to see appart from the st joseph style ceilings which had been kept.
The chapel was stunning with a carved roof but for some reason no floors. We had to walk along the beams the workmen had layed down just to get to the other side. A few more photos and we called it a day and headed off to our next site.
