Very local to me and is actually one of my favourite sites just because of how fun it was. It was another school for children with learning problems and only closed about 6 months ago but looking at the decor inside you would have thought longer.
Visited with Just Ben and Randommate01, We spotted it by chance while driving to get some food so we had a quick swing in on the way back. Didnt take too long to find our entrance and once in we were shocked to find it was completly mint!. It really did look like everyone had been evacuated and they had just locked the doors everything was there the rooms were clean still with work books on the desks. The heating was on and the lights were on. Ace,
We were currently in the main hall or sports hall as we found lots of games and bats in the store cupboard and something else. A full size trampoline!. We couldnt resist so we set it up and had a go!. I hadnt been on one of these since my school days so it felt excellent.
After 20 minutes of messing about we headed on into the school. Passing the computer rooms which still had the computers which were inbuilt to the keyboard. Extremely old. A bit further along we came to what was called the "sensory room". We opened the door to find a large ball pond to which randommate01 instantly jumped in, plastic balls flying out everywhere. To the left of the room we found a small converted cupboard which really did look like a disco love shack. A large glitterball and
fibreoptics
covered the walls.
Back out to the other side we passed a full working kitchen and another main hall which had working tvs and a grand piano. We continued further and to our surpise found a fully stocked workshop. Everything was there work benchs, stacks of wood stock, tools the lot!.
We headed back and played on the trampoline for another hour then headed on home. Excellent trip.
UPDATE!.
unfortuantly the scum have moved onto the site and completly destroyed it. All the copper pipes they ripped out have devastated the floors, the kitchens are a mess, and there is paint from the artroom everywhere.
