Was meant to be another of the "easy" access asylums, And yea it was. Security was almost non existant. In fact we didnt even know there was any.
We visited with a large group of people after we finished exploring Shoreham Cement which was just down the road.
There isnt really too much here to see object and item wise most of the bits and bobs have gone such as beds and things like that but there are a few things here and there such as halloween decorations and a few records here and there.
We all got in then went our seperate ways with the aim of meeting at the main hall later. We split off and decided to go to admin building and surrounding areas. Pretty battered in most places with roofs collapsed all over the place. Even so we managed to get in and found some little bits remained. After taking a few photos and sitting in the dentist chair we headed over to the main hall.
Another burnt one with a massive hole in the floor. but luckily it hadnt spread to far so the roof and most of the stage remained. After a breif chat with everyone and a group photo we headed off for a quick visit to the salon which still had the chairs inside.
Next was the tower. This is probally the sketchyest water tower ive ever climbed the rungs of the wooden ladders are so rotten they actually crumble away at your feet. And in one section you have to climb round on the etching in the wall with a 20 meter drop beneath you. Lethal stuff. Even with all this we made it to the top and out the hatch. The ledge around the top offer good panoramic views of the entire asylum.
We took a few photos as the sun was begining to set then decided it would be best to get out while it was still light.
