I think this was my first abandoned cinema. Located in Tonbridge the Essoldo closed due to lack of customers and the entire area has just been bought for regeneration. The Essoldo had three screens but sadly had been completly destroyed by local kids and the scum had gone to town stealing everything of value.

Visited with Robsey and Indy

At the time of our first trip access what very hard. We had to scale up the wall on drainpipes to and open window in full view of people walking past in the car park. On the way in i got slightly stuck and fell in, crushing two pigeon eggs. At first i felt guilty but hey there just flying rats.

The cinema was completly ruined, the screens had been burnt and ripped and all the seats had been removed.

We made the most of it and headed around taking photos of all the screens and reception before heading up onto the roof for a few night shots. We now had a bit of a problem there was no way we could get out the way we came in without risking sereous injury so we headed around trying all the fire escapes and finally found and open one!.

Back out into the sunlight we took a few outside shots then headed back to the cars.
