Middleton is the only underground limestone mine in the UK. Situated in outskirts of Derbyshire there is only one thing to say about it, its huge. ..

Its a tunnel, it runs underneath london for a few hundred meters. Its wet, theres nothing in it. Good fun then?. Meh probably i guess. ..

From the darkest depths of the Stockholm metro comes a tale of downright stupidity. This is the last time i listen to someone who was born in Sweden ..

Chinor is another large cement works in the south of Britian. And like all the other closed down due to new ways of producing cement which rendered the old buildings pointless and unnessasary.

Visited with Sick and LittleElvis on what felt like the hottest day of the year. It was nuts we had to walk along the old pits to get into the site and it felt like a dessert the water had all been dried up and it really took some going to push on. Once we got closer we were glad to reach the cool shadows of the buildings structures.

Once in we headed straight up for the highest point in the turbine room and out onto the roof. The views wernt too good as most directions were obscured by more buildings. Back down we began taking photos of the turbine room when two kids came in and saw us. They were there for a boat apparantly as they were playing in the lakes formed when the works closed down.

From here we headed into the crane rooms and had a look round all the silos before moving onto my favourite part. An old train complete with carrages. IT was here as just up the tracks was a station where they restored them. It was defintantly something different and i enjoyed walking along inside them

From here we began the long walk back accross the white desert. A good site and very chilled out with no security.
