Our first target on the manc-fester road trip. After setting off from the south and 5 hours driving we ended up at the reservoir near Gorton and headed towards our entrance. | We arrived around 9ish after i got completly lost and ended up god knows where. Went to our manhole pulled up our waders and went down. Resident Eelville, also known as the “Wandle Valley Relief” which also incorporates the Wandle Valley Sewer network and two smaller tunnels which didn’t even merit a name. The pipe runs from the lower sections of tooting connecting into the Streatham Relief all the way up to Wandsworth where it overflows into the Wandle, although all [...] Being part of an international community, you occasionally hear tales of run ins with animals. Raccoons, badgers, snakes, kangaroo’s, drop bears (maybe), but in London, all we have is rats. Well we had just done upper c.o.t.s and were still eager to do more and were looking to complete the set. So we decided wed stay up late and do the lower c.o.t.s system. Well after discovering that access through Parasite was not possible we game a quick ring to Mr JonDoe and after a quick chat, discussing possible options i was pleased to discovered you can access the good parts of the Fleet Relief through the Main Line. Result! |
