One of my favorite sites of to visit in Belgium. Granted its not the largest of places and its a bit battered, probably now beyond repair. But there was just something about the castle that left you with a feeling that can only be described as “win”.
| The medieval Lock Ness Abbey, Highland Park, now under conversion into the swanky ”members only” Highland Club and ”Luxury” apartments was originally a academy for training monks before they were dispatched to spread the word of God. With an unbeatable position at the foot of the loch and unspoilt views, I wouldn’t mind owning one [...] The first site on the Birmingham leg of our journey. While it wasn’t the biggest of sizes it made up for that with detail and construction. We were looking at the old Chance Glassworks, but more importantly a smaller section many would pass up and ignore. Housed under a burnt out shell of a building [...] Probably the biggest mission we have ever undertaken. Countless attempts, lots of research into possibilites around 6 trips and countless cheeky bonuses we were in! Another one of those explorer defiant ue sites. Every single door was locked inside and out, every window blocked and screwed shut, plus several barbed bendy fences. Combine that with the fact its on a live site and has a jumpy security guard who will call the police at the slightest incident and you have [...] Lots Road Power station, one of the cursed London UE sites, it has been attempted countless times but never successfully accessed; and with good reason too, with several dozen cameras around the site, on site security, no ground floor windows and enough razor wire to fill a cruise ship, it certainly is a tough cookie. |
