Once more we venture off up into the clouded skies of London. With unmatched views from anywhere else publicly accessible, abandoned tower blocks and construction sites are always the best place to sneak a peak at our nations skyline, especially at night.

Our target for today, The Southwark tower, the site which is soon to house the London shard. Situated just outside London bridge rail station it stands at a average 29 stories high, but due to the central placement of the building you get a panoramic view of the whole of London.

The only downside again is the fact its next to one of the busiest rail stations in London so getting in unnoticed can be a tad tricky if you get the timing wrong. Myself and Randommate01 waited for a chance, waited some more, and some more, and finally went for it. Once inside we had nothing left to do but climb!

28 stories later we stood atop the building on one of the roof gardens. The skies split between heavy cloud and rain with clear blue skies. As luck would have it the wind was in our favor, pushing away the cloud and bringing in the crystal clear skies. Couple this with some of the most astonishing views of local landmarks and you have yourself a real photographic treat.

We had a wide choice of things to shoot so we got to it. Experimenting with pieces of curves mirror which acted as a fish eye lens. Before long we grew tired and although there was still thousands of possible angles left we had to draw the line somewhere. So with a sense of longing, vowing that we would return come the next clear sky we headed home.
