Our target for the night was the new Electron development over in east London. To be more precise the 4th tower.. Currently the last one to be completed with the first two already holding occupants. Electron tower stands at roughly 30 floors high but sits in a perfect location over looking the docks, the dome and the city.

As we drove round the site, everywhere seemed to still operating even though is was gone midnight, cars driving in and out of the main gates and what looked like workers still wandering the empty floors above. Surely not. We had a little side excursion photographing the dome, eating up a bit of time up, then headed back.

Silence, now this was more like it. We had a good look around the perimeter then headed in and up to the top. To my disappointment the roof had horrible views. Large walls and window cleaning machines obscured most of the views and to make things worse my tripod wasn’t even high enough to view over the wall. We headed back down a few floors and came to a small windowless platform, perfect.

To be honest there wasn’t that much to take pictures of. Sure you had the main business districts, but by now the fancy vegas lights from the dome had been switched off and everything close was now bathed in a boring orange tint. We took a few pictures head and there before heading back down for some cheap Mcdonald’s.
